A new idea for Blogging and using Mastodon

I'm not writing on the internet much, and as much as I've liked having Micro.blog, and using Ivory for Mastodon, I don't think I'm getting my money's worth. So I'm considering trying out something cheaper, and more basic.

I already use Drafts on my iOS and Mac and I think I do get my money's worth there so I'm happy to pay for that. There's a 'post to Mastodon' action that I don't know if I've ever used but I'm going to try from now. I think it should be easy to modify to make a separate action for posting to the 3GoodThings group - something that probably does me good and I should probably do more often.

For longer blog posts I am thinking of trying out Bear, just sticking with the free version and keeping it text only. I would have to manually copy and paste it into Bear's editor I think, but that's fair enough, and if I wanted to share that post on Mastodon I'd be doing that manually too. I think I'm okay with that because I'm not writing much anyway at the moment and sometimes I don't want things cross-posting anyway.

I do wonder if there's a way to post directly from Drafts to Bear. Probably not on the free version, at least. Anyway, instead of 'manual' posting, let's call it 'intentional' posting 😂

In terms of browsing Mastodon, again I'm ditching all the apps and thinking of sticking with just visiting kind.social in Safari on my Mac. This should also help to discourage me from scrolling mindlessly on my phone because there won't be any nice way to do it
